The INTERREG Central Baltic project “Sustainability in Finance – SuFi” (www.sufi.fi) consortium’s meeting has been organised by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (the SuFi lead partner) on 9 September 2021 via Zoom. Twelve representatives from six project's partners’ institutions (i.e. Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Liepajas State Technical school, Tartu VEC, University of Latvia, University of Tartu and Åland University of Applied Sciences) have participated in the consortium’s meeting aimed to summarise and discuss the main results of the 3rd reporting period from 1 March 2021 to 31 August 2021.

The consortium’s meeting was moderated by Jani Siirilä from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Saara Latvala from Haaga-Helia informed on the activities implemented and results achieved within the  workpackage “Management” and “Communication” and Hanna Arina informed regarding SuFi financial issues. According to Jani Siirilä, there were the following results achieved within the workpackage “T1 – Module ideation and design” and the workpackage “T2 – Module development and piloting”: designing process of SuFi course was facilitated by Heli Lankinen who was a responsible person of organising two workshops. Working in small groups via MS Teams was also implemented to specify a core content, learning outcomes and assessment criteria, to elaborate and share teaching/learning materials in each module of the SuFi course. An operational  framework for SuFi research and development was developed and implemented. Some students from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, University of Latvia, and Åland University of Applied Sciences started to elaborate their theses related to the SuFi project process and results. The SuFi course modules development took place both in MS Teams channels and Haaga-Helia Moodle. It’s planned to involve 211 students in the first piloting stage.

Finally, there was an opportunity to participate in SWOT analysis to discuss SuFi project’s strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, using an online Padlet wall. In general, all partners were satisfied with SuFi project’s achievements and positively evaluated the project's activities and results achieved during the 3rd reporting period. The main strengths mentioned by participants were as follows: a good team, flexible project management, regular and fruitful communication using different communication channels, a new knowledge and outlook for teachers, a new approach to teaching future skills and life competencies. The main weaknesses: a lack of face-to-face communication because of Covid-19, an unclear process of licencing of the developed study materials. Participants mentioned some opportunities such as developing new relevant training modules, creating new projects’ proposals and promoting cooperation within future projects.

Good luck to the SuFi consortium in the first piloting stage during the 4th reporting period from 1 September 2021 to 28 February 2022!
