A senior researcher Tamara Pigozne from the Scientific Institute of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art of the University of Latvia participated at the ECER 2019 “Education in an Era of Risk – the Role of Educational Research for the Future?” which took place on 2-6 September 2019 at Universität Hamburg, Germany. In total, 2142 submissions were presented in the ECER 2019 Programme.

Tamara Pigozne participated in a roundtable discussion on “Quality Assurance in Adult Education in Latvia” and presented the poster “Support for Teacher's Professional Identity Enhancement to Promote Inclusive Education within Context of Education Reform in Latvia”. Both studies focused on inclusive education: the roundtable highlighted innovations in teachers' education, including special education teachers' professional development, and quality assessment in adult education, while the poster presented a good practice in special education within the ERASMUS+ project “International E-based Diploma and Professional Certificates in Special Education and Inclusion - SP-EDU”.
