From 15 August 2016 until 19 August 2016 prof. Dr. psych. Lūcija Rutka has participated in the eSTEM project training event at Glasgow Caledonian University which is a modern, supportive and cosmopolitan university located in the centre of one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

Training programme Training event was attended by colleagues from UK, Egypt and Latvia. The lecturers from Glasgow Caledonian University have presented the Scottish education system, the types of study programs and contents, the specifics of evaluation of study process and study outcomes, the trends of teacher initial and further education as well as a digital development strategy until 2020 developed by Glasgow Caledonian University. The University of Latvia was represented by prof. Lūcija Rutka. She has reported on "Psychological Pedagogy for Quality Teaching and Learning" highlighting the importance of university lecturers' psycho-pedagogical competence in study process. During the practical part, a group-work and discussion on the matter of the eSTEM project Educational Psychological Module’s learning outcomes and the opportunities of acquiring the outcomes was organised to the lecturers from Egypt and UK. The discussion covered the lecturers’ knowledge, skills and competences which are necessary for efficient study process and results. Thus, the colleagues' experience and expectations were clarified for the project meeting activities in Spring 2017 in Riga, during these activities a training on eSTEM project Educational Psychological Module will be organised for Egyptian university lecturers.
