The director of the Scientific Institute of Pedagogy (SIP) Manuel-Joaquín Fernández-González from 10.03.2016 to 03.13.2016 was in Madrid (Spain) at the University of "Camilo José Cela" to participate in the international conference "Leadership and quality of education".

Institute's director presented the scientific activities of the UL and SIP and delivered a report "Teachers' ethics and quality of education" in the experts section "21st century teacher leadership". He also participated in the annual meeting of the "European Association for Leadership and Quality of Education", from which he and Irina Maslo, chief of the Scientific Council of the Institute, are members.

"The conference was particularly enriching because there participated Europe's leading personality in the field of educational leadership Lejf Moos from Aarhus University (Denmark), which was the president of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) from 2009-2014, and is the leader of the Nordic Association for Educational Research (NERA) and coordinator of European Alliance for Social Science and Humanities (EASSH). Representatives of the best Spanish universities who are interested in educational leadership theme also attended the conference. There was also an opportunity to start scientific cooperation with representatives of different Spanish (Madrid, Galisia, Andalusia) and Mexican universities who participated in the conference, and to strengthen relations with the UL Honorary Doctor Samuel Gento. For example, we spoke about the possibility of establishing a joint master's study program "Educational institutions management, innovation and leadership", said Institute's director.
