From August 21, 2017 till August 23, 2017 two representatives of the University of Latvia together with partners from Europe and Africa participated in training seminar “Teacher training – Constructive Alignment” which was organised within the Erasmus+ project “International Diploma for School Teachers in STEM Education / eSTEM” (KA2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices – Capacity building in higher education) at Ain Shams University (Cairo, Egypt).

Two-day seminar (August 21-22) was developed and managed by PhD Mikael Cronhjort, a Lecturer and Educational Developer at the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). The participants were involved in a discussion on constructive alignment defining the intended learning outcomes in higher education study programmes.

  

One-day seminar (August 23) on constructive alignment was developed and managed by the representatives of the University of Latvia – professor Dr.habil.paed. Irina Maslo (Education, Psychology and Art Faculty) and senior researcher Dr.paed. Rita Birziņa (Biology Faculty). Twenty five participants were involved in groupworking organised according the methodology elaborated by Dr.habil.paed. Irina Maslo.
