At the European Conference on Developmental Psychology, the State research programme (SRP) “Education,” under the project “Elaboration of evidence-based solutions for effective professional competence development of adults and assessment of the transfer of its results into practice in Latvia” (No. VPP-IZM-Izglītība-2023/4-0001) was represented by Aleksandrs Koļesovs with a poster presentation “Transforming professional development: Reconsidering the frame of adult involvement and the transfer of skills in Latvia”. The poster was prepared in collaboration with several colleagues from the University of Latvia: Gunta Siliņa-Jasjukeviča, Sanita Baranova, Dita Nīmante, and Svetlana Surikova. It analysed how adults’ motivation to participate influences the perceived effectiveness of professional development and the transfer of skills into practice. Feedback received from colleagues in Lithuania and Italy will contribute to the preparation of further publications and provide valuable input into the advancement of adult education in Latvia.
